Industrial Cleaning Operative / Glasgow Area
Up to £30,000 Basic Salary + Overtime + Training & Career Development
You don't need years of specialist experience for this role.
We're looking for reliable, hardworking people with some practical work experience who want to learn, develop new skills, and build a long‑term career.
If you've worked in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, maintenance, construction, warehousing, manufacturing, labouring, facilities management, or another hands‑on role, we'd love to hear from you.
Full training will be provided on specialist ventilation hygiene cleaning, grease extraction systems, fire damper inspections and testing, giving you the opportunity to develop into a skilled Industrial Cleaning Operative and progress into Fire Damper Engineering and other specialist fire safety services.
The RoleWorking as part of a two‑person team, you'll travel throughout the Glasgow region supporting a wide range of customers.

You'll carry out specialist cleaning and maintenance work that helps keep buildings safe, compliant and operational.
No two days are the same, and you'll regularly work on sites that most people never get the opportunity to access.
What You'll Be Doing- Cleaning commercial kitchen extraction and ventilation systems
- Removing grease deposits from ventilation ductwork
- Using specialist cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Working safely at height using ladders and access equipment
- Working within confined spaces when required
- Travelling throughout your allocated region
- Supporting fire damper inspections and testing following training
- Completing work safely and professionally to industry standards
We're much more interested in attitude than extensive qualifications.
You'll need:
- A full UK driving licence
- Some previous practical or hands‑on work experience
- Good time‑keeping and reliability
- A strong work ethic
- The willingness to work evenings, nights and early mornings
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to pass a DBS check (no unspent convictions)
This role involves working a mixture of evenings, nights and early mornings, as much of the work is carried out when customer sites are closed. Flexibility is essential, but you'll benefit from consistent work, regular earnings and excellent opportunities for overtime.
