Forklift Driver - Night

Location: AMAZON NCL1

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Hours: 38.5 Hours 19:00pm-07:00am

Rate of Pay: £13.96 per hour

ABM Facility Services UK are looking to recruit Forklift Truck Driver’s on a full-time and part-time permanent basis for a client within the Dartford area. The successful candidate will need to display the ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast paced environment that provides janitorial and waste removal services.

• Working within our janitorial and waste removal team in a warehouse environment, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
• Handling waste generated on site via the approved waste streams and ensuring that this is ready for transportation along with supporting the waste removal team to maintain production.
• Using both walk‑behind and ride‑on sweepers and scrubber‑dryers, along with other cleaning equipment; ensuring that the yard area is clean, safe and maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring that all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in a safe working order.
• Being responsive to any requests and callouts from the clients on site team.
• Communicating effectively with your team and line manager – we all work together.
• Wearing protective clothing (PPE) and complying with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
• Working on your own initiative as well as part of a team and exhibiting great communication skills, confidently communicating with team members and clients.
• Undergoing full training on all cleaning methods and cleaning equipment.
• Full training will be provided.

• Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Hold a valid private counterbalance licence (in‑house training will not be accepted).
