Laundry Assistant

About the role

Part time working a 3 on 3 off rotation, 22.75 hours a week. As a Laundry Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Maintenance of a high standard of order and tidiness within the laundry area: wash, dry, iron and repair items as needed, maintain linen stocks for day‑to‑day use and raise issues to the Senior Housekeeper. Fold, separate and redistribute linen/clothes to the correct rooms with kindness and pride. Ensure residents’ clothing looks and feels great and the environment is safe, comfortable and welcoming.

Experience in laundry or similar role preferred but not essential. Excellent time‑management and organisational skills, positive energy, good communication and listening skills, and the ability to get along with residents and colleagues. Must be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond.

• Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
