The home is being refurbished and is designed to provide a homely environment with high standards of care.

Job Role
We are seeking a Trainee Maintenance Officer to carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring the building, services, and grounds are in excellent condition. This role involves maintaining all internal and external aspects of the care home, ensuring the safety and functionality of the environment, and adhering to Health and Safety requirements. .

Key Responsibilities
:

• Support experienced maintenance staff with day-to-day repairs and upkeep.

• Help in carrying out basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, or electrical tasks under supervision.

• Follow standard operating procedures for routine maintenance work.

• Learn how to use tools, equipment, and materials safely and effectively

• Help address immediate repair needs as directed.

• Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance workshops and work areas.

• Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.

• Always follow health and safety regulations and report any hazards.

• Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to site safety standards.

• Assist with maintaining records of maintenance work.

• Help complete job sheets, checklists, and inspection logs.

• Work closely with other team members and contractors.

• Communicate clearly with supervisors and report any issues or delays.

• Participate in on-the-job training and relevant courses.

• Take initiative to learn and improve technical knowledge and skills

• Interact politely and professionally with residents, staff, or clients during maintenance work.
