Fleet Workshop Supervisor

As a Fleet Workshop Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the VMU's at Bellshill and Edinburgh, and all vehicles satisfy DOT standards for road-worthiness.

• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the VMU and achieve targeted KPI’s and objectives.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles to minimum DOT standards in line with the company preventative maintenance programme.
• Complete relevant documents for all work undertaken, including reporting to the manager.
• Adhere to all company preventative maintenance and service schedules.
• Prepare all necessary reports and paperwork.
• Road test vehicles (where qualified).
• Ensure correct and effective safe use of all tools, plant and ancillary equipment.
• Ensure PPE is worn in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy.
• Adhere to all HASWA/Legislation/Security procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
• Ensure no vehicle leaves the VMU in an unroadworthy condition.

• Partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the SFA and People, Service Profit code.
• Manage, train and develop employees within the team and in accordance with their job roles and business requirements.
• Develop staff for succession through coaching, delegation and feedback.
• Promote a professional image of the company and comply with the company’s policies and code of conduct at all times.
• Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations.
• Seek continuous improvement through ongoing quality initiatives inline with the business objectives.
• Take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out any other duty deemed reasonable by the management of Fed Ex Express UK Transportation Limited.

• Maintain and comply with company health and safety standards, minimising risk to yourself and others.
• Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures in your area of responsibility are complied with and fully maintained.
