Commercial Manager – Orion Group

Are you a commercially driven professional with a passion for delivering high‑impact construction projects? Join us to lead commercial activities during the tender and pre‑construction phase and, upon contract award, manage the commercial delivery of an exciting new development in the Highlands.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial strategy for the project from tender to completion.
  • Prepare and review estimates, tender submissions and contract negotiations.
  • Drive financial performance, cost control and value‑engineering initiatives.
  • Manage risk, procurement, supply‑chain relationships and commercial reporting.
  • Act as a mentor and leader to commercial staff, championing professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, GMCEs and the Businesses Cultural Framework.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Commercial Manager with a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
  • Proven experience in structures‑focused roles within the construction sector.
  • Skilled in managing commercial teams, contract negotiations and cost reporting.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts, procurement strategies and digital tools.
