Overview

As Farm Manager you will be responsible for all day to day running of all agricultural operations on the farm. The farm extends to 1050 Hectares of mixed Upland and Inbye grazing and arable concerns. With a current herd of 1,200 head of cross cattle and a herd of 300 Head of Pedigree Galloway Cattle. The applicant must be willing to take on all responsibilities of such an operation and have the appropriate skills for the management of our established team.

• Manage day to day running of all agricultural operations on the farm.
• Oversee 1,050 hectares of mixed upland and inbye grazing and arable concerns.
• Oversee a herd of 1,200 head of cross cattle and a herd of 300 head of Pedigree Galloway cattle.
• Lead and manage the established farm team and ensure effective teamwork and supervision.
• Collaborate with existing farm shops, restaurants and food halls across Scotland and Northern England to maintain and expand the supply of Pedigree Beef.
• Maintain high standards, ensure sound record keeping, and uphold Health & Safety compliance.
• Adopt a vision for sustainable farming practices for the future.

• Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
• Certificate of Competence for the Welfare of Animals (Transport) order 2006 is desirable.
• Ambition, enthusiasm and drive to maintain and improve high standards.
• Excellent record-keeping and a Health and Safety conscious approach.
