Our client, a well-established and respected Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating across Scotland, is seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Project Manager to join their team based in Glasgow.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated mechanical packages within M&E projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall leadership and ownership of allocated mechanical projects
* Deliver projects in line with defined cost, time, and quality requirements
* Act as the single point of contact for clients in relation to mechanical works
* Manage internal project teams, support departments, and mechanical subcontractors
* Implement and uphold health & safety management systems, setting exemplary standards
* Ensure company project delivery tools and processes are fully implemented
* Monitor budgets, optimise cost efficiencies, and manage change control processes
* Support Quantity Surveyors with valuations, forecasts, and reporting
* Produce and manage mechanical installation and commissioning programmes
* Collaborate with main contractors to manage programme coordination and resolve challenges
* Oversee procurement to ensure materials are delivered in line with programme requirements
* Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, resolving discrepancies and RFIs
* Ensure quality systems are consistently implemented and maintained
* Manage commissioning, handover, O&M manuals, and client training processes
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
Experience & Skills Required
* Proven experience managing commercial mechanical projects ranging from £100k to £4m
* Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery
* Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications
* Strong leadership and team management capability
* Excellent commercial awareness
* Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, solution-focused and collaborative approach
* Competent IT skills, including Excel, Word, Project and Power Point
* Awareness of internal business functions including estimating, purchasing, technical and commercial disciplines
