Glasgow Prestwick Airport directly employs circa 450 people and supports over 4,000 jobs across the aerospace cluster. Situated in the heart of Scotland’s aerospace industry we offer a diverse range of in-house aviation services providing vital connections to the rest of the world.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rotational shift basis, reporting directly to the E-Commerce Manager.

As the E-Commerce Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse during your assigned shift. You will lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately, efficiently, and safely, while maintaining high standards of productivity and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the operation within Transit House, ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided to all customers.
  • Professionally manage/supervise all staff within your control ensuring compliance with all company and departmental procedures.
  • Support and guide team leaders with their daily tasks.
  • Manage weekly rosters for staff including annual leave, time in lieu and banked hours if operating.
  • Be the point of contact for any final mile providers, ensuring they are updated at all times on progress and any required changes during the shift.
  • Recognise areas of improvement within the section and highlight training needs with staff, reporting this to the Manager.
Qualifications & Experience

Ideal candidates will have relevant warehouse experience and have knowledge of the Aviation industry. Previous experience in the management of a logistics warehouse, in fast-paced environment and an understanding of key stakeholders within the process for imports and exports is desired.

  • Comply with UK Right to Work checks and provide associated relevant documentation at interview.
  • Confirm your identity by providing a copy of your passport or driving licence.
  • Provide a five-year reference history on request.
  • Provide a Criminal Record Check Certificate (Basic Disclosure) from Disclosure Scotland. This must not display any disqualifying convictions as detailed on the Civil Aviation Authority website.
  • Where applicable, undertake a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) and understand that deployment to any security-related activities is conditional upon the satisfactory result of such a check.
