Our client requires an experienced Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the effective leadership of warehouse operations, ensuring stock is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. The successful individual will oversee people, processes, and performance while driving high standards across all warehousing and distribution activity.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Manage warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Monitor stock accuracy, inventory control, and warehouse organisation.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage KPIs relating to productivity, service levels, and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with transport, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure proper facility upkeep.
- Support budget management and cost control within the warehouse function.
- Proven experience in a warehouse management role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and health and safety standards.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and reporting tools.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to support operational demands where required.
- Relevant health and safety or logistics qualifications are advantageous.
- Competitive salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
