Glasgow Kelvin College is seeking a highly organised Corporate Planning and Governance Manager to lead the delivery of the College's corporate planning and governance framework. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the Board of Management and its Standing Committees receive high quality and timely information to support transparent, effective and accountable decision making.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal, Estates, Corporate Planning and Governance, you will drive the continuous improvement of governance systems, corporate planning processes and organisational reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and sector best practice. You will also provide leadership for the College's Administration and Executive Support functions, supporting a culture of professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the College's corporate planning framework, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate corporate planning, performance reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support informed decision‑making.
- Provide professional advice and guidance on governance, compliance and Board matters.
- Lead the effective operation of the Board of Management and Standing Committees, ensuring high quality agendas, reports, minutes and governance documentation.
- Monitor governance action plans, audit recommendations and statutory registers, ensuring compliance and timely completion of actions.
- Oversee complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI), Data Protection and governance related compliance activities.
- Lead and develop administrative and executive support teams, ensuring high quality support across the College.
- Manage administrative systems, processes and workflows, driving service improvements and operational efficiency.
- Support organisational assurance activities, including risk management, insurance claims and mandatory corporate compliance reporting.
- Build productive relationships with senior leaders, Board members and external stakeholders to support effective governance and organisational performance.
Demonstrable knowledge of:
- Corporate planning, governance and performance management within a complex organisation.
- Board governance frameworks, committee structures and regulatory compliance.
- Corporate reporting, strategic planning and organisational performance monitoring.
- Complaints handling, Freedom of Information (FOI), Data Protection and governance legislation.
- Leadership of administrative and executive support functions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning and project management abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting information to senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality work to demanding timescales.
