Join us as a Support Management Trainer and we can offer you a generous package of up to £36,000 per year plus a car allowance contribution.

As a Support Management Trainer, you play a key role in supporting the delivery of management development across your region. You work closely with the Regional Management Trainer to ensure managers are trained, supported and progressing in line with Hickory’s standards. This role focuses on the practical delivery, coaching and follow-up of management training within restaurants, ensuring consistency, quality and confidence in how managers lead and develop their teams.

You are highly visible within restaurants, working alongside managers to embed training into day‑to‑day operations. This is a field‑based role with the majority of time spent in restaurants, including evenings and weekends.

Scope
  • Supports a region of approximately 8‑12 restaurants alongside the Regional Management Trainer
  • Works directly with managers in restaurants across all levels
  • Focused on delivery, coaching and embedding of management training
  • Provides on‑the‑ground support across multiple restaurants
Management Development Delivery
  • Support the delivery of management training programmes as directed by the Regional Management Trainer
  • Deliver structured training sessions, workshops and coaching within restaurants
  • Support the onboarding of new and newly promoted managers
  • Assist in the delivery of MIT programmes, ensuring consistency in approach
  • Support the delivery of MIT sign‑off preparation and readiness
  • Deliver and support MIT brunches and capture feedback
  • Support the implementation of post sign‑off PDPs within restaurants
  • Ensure training is practical, relevant and embedded into day‑to‑day operations
Coaching & On-the-Floor Support
  • Work alongside managers during service to coach and develop their leadership capability
  • Support managers in how they train, coach and develop their own teams
  • Provide real‑time feedback to improve confidence and consistency
  • Reinforce strong management behaviours through observation and coaching
  • Support managers through key transition points including onboarding
Guest Experience
  • Support managers to deliver consistent, high‑quality guest experiences
  • Coach managers on how their leadership impacts guest interaction and service standards
  • Ensure management training is always linked to improving guest experience
  • Support restaurants in creating memorable guest moments through strong leadership
Business Impact
  • Support reduction in 90‑day management turnover through strong onboarding and early support
  • Ensure consistency in management training delivery across restaurants
  • Support FLOW compliance and practical application within management teams
  • Provide feedback to the Regional Management Trainer on progress, risks and opportunities
  • Support new restaurant openings through training delivery and on‑the‑ground support
  • Maintain accurate training records, trackers and follow‑up actions
Standards & Compliance
  • Support managers in maintaining high standards across Food Safety, Health & Safety and compliance
  • Ensure management teams understand and apply operational standards consistently
  • Reinforce expectations around safety, cleanliness and service through coaching
Working Pattern
  • Field‑based role with majority of time spent in restaurants
  • Regular evening and weekend work expected
  • High visibility during peak trading periods
