Program Manager – Automotive Microcontroller Product Line

Lead large multi‑disciplinary engineering teams through the NXP New Product Introduction (NPI) process to develop cutting‑edge embedded processor solutions for automotive. The Program Manager will engage global R&D teams to achieve on‑time delivery with world‑class quality and collaborate across organization functions to define schedules, resources, and key deliverables while proactively mitigating risks to positively impact financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross‑functional engineering teams through the NPI lifecycle from concept to production ramp‑up.
  • Engage global R&D, Design, Software, Product Management, and Product Engineer/Test/Manufacturing teams to define schedules and resources.
  • Identify and address issues early, ensuring deliverables stay on time and within budget.
  • Drive delivery of new products, managing hardware and software development, final production ramp up, and associated metrics.
  • Partner with stakeholders to influence and align on strategy, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Report progress and performance to senior management via structured metrics and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience in semiconductor, automotive, or electronics industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing complex technical projects involving hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and project risk/issue management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • PMI/PMP certification desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards beneficial.
Ideal Candidate
  • Track record of bringing new products to market on time while managing development cost and achieving planned gross margin and yields.
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams, management, and customers, tailoring communication to each audience.
  • Solid program management methodology to drive NPI execution within timelines and target costs.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others, maintaining high energy and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills across cross‑geographical and functional teams.
  • Effective in presenting to senior management verbally and in written form.
  • Adapts quickly to changing environments, seeking continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Capable of developing and inspiring high‑performance teams.
