About usEbbsfleet is the first garden city to be built in the UK in 100 years, and the board of trustees are delighted to have the opportunity to help shape how the Trust will manage the many beautiful and creative spaces (buildings and open areas), for the use of the communities in and around Ebbsfleet.
Initially established as a limited company in 2019 by EDC, it was decided that a charitable Trust was the most suitable way to ensure the needs of the community would be met, with all income to the Trust put back into the communities.
Ebbsfleet Garden City is turning into a thriving place to live for people of all generations, for work, rest and play. EDC have worked tirelessly to ensure that the community needs are understood and met as they develop the area. EGCT has taken on this mantel and look forward to continuing the vision of providing beautiful green landscapes, with attractive yet functional buildings.
For any area to thrive it also needs to provide local jobs and transport, whilst ensuring the educational, creative and health & leisure needs are met. An exciting arts and cultural scene will have Ebbsfleet identified as a desirable place to live.
About the RoleEbbsfleet Garden City Trust is seeking an exceptional and entrepreneurial leader to become its first Chief Executive. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a growing and ambitious Trust as the legacy of one of the UK’s largest new housing developments, working with a committed voluntary Board of Trustees, a developing staff team, and the local community.
