Change Management, Project & Program Management
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of the University’s new Timetabling Improvement Project. This major investment will replace and bring together three business-critical, student-facing services: module timetabling, exam timetabling and resource booking systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the project within agreed tolerances, planning, managing and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead significant business change, manage a wide range of stakeholders, and ensure effective project governance and quality management in line with established project management practices.
The role includes managing project resources, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues and budgets, as well as working closely with third-party suppliers and implementation partners to support successful delivery and adoption of new ways of working.
Based within the Programme Management Office (PMO) in the Information Services Directorate, you will join a team of experienced project professionals delivering a diverse portfolio of digital transformation and business change initiatives that support the University’s Strathclyde 2030 strategy.
In addition to leading delivery of this high-profile project, you will contribute to the continued development of project management practice across the institution, helping to identify opportunities for improvement and supporting colleagues through coaching and guidance. Working with stakeholders at all levels, you will play a key role in delivering successful organisational change.
This role offers significant variety, an excellent working environment, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the University. In return, we offer a competitive benefits package, flexible working arrangements, and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
Initial interviews are scheduled to take place on 26
November 2026, which will then be followed by in-person interviews scheduled totake place on 8 December 2026.
