The Electrician will work in the assembly area, working on pumps for Original Equipment (OE) and aftermarket jobs. The role includes all aspects of electrical assembly from building to dismantling within the assembly line. Efficient, quality workmanship within time‑frames is required, along with continuous improvement to drive down costs.

• Installation of electrical and instrumentation systems and cabling on production pump skids.
• Electrical assembly of new pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently and in line with work instructions.
• Dismantling and electrical assembly of repair/service pumps for OE and aftermarket orders within laid down parameters, efficiently and in line with work instructions.
• Working within assembly and test to ensure economic manufacturing to the correct quality standard.
• Responsible for own quality of work, self‑inspection, and completion of paperwork and applicable checklists.
• Assist Operations Manager with problems that occur within the assembly department and collaborate with other departments to resolve and document issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain site electrical infrastructure, plant and equipment.
• Assist in preparing/updating assembly documentation, programs, and tooling.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive down costs and increase productivity.
• Be available to attend customer sites to carry out service work on behalf of the company when required.
• Work in other areas when required.
• Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Provide ongoing support and training to peers and apprentices within electrical assembly and where required.
• Be available for further training if required.
• If required, assist in the test area which includes hydro, performance, noise and vibration testing, setting up and stripping product off test efficiently and in line with work instructions.

• Experience on installation and maintenance of low and medium voltage systems.
• Ability to work as part of a multi‑function team, preferably in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of BS7671 IEE wiring regulations (18th Edition).
• Have completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Team player with a high level of energy and commitment to change.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
