Horizontal Borer Machine Operator
East Kilbride | Full Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus + 32 Days Holiday
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Horizontal Borer Operator to join our busy machine shop. If you've got a strong machining background and enjoy working with traditional equipment, this is a great opportunity to join a growing, employee‑owned business.
What You'll Do- Set up and run a conventional horizontal borer
- Operate lathes, mills and drills
- Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Inspect your own work and maintain high quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and good workshop organisation
- Previous machining experience is essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in operating machine tools
- SH75 experience
- Forklift licence
- Overhead crane use
- Knowledge of machine shop safety
