Factory Supervisor

CCG Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) is a leading manufacturer of advanced panelised timber systems based in Glasgow. Founded by our parent company CCG (Scotland) Ltd in 2009, CCG OSM extends to 130,000 sq ft and is a semi-automated, 3-lane manufacturing line – one of the most advanced in the United Kingdom – that utilises CAD-CAM software to create the ‘iQ’ Timber System, a fully enhanced closed panel (timber frame) solution inclusive of insulation, internal wall linings, service zones, windows and doors with the capability of also accepting lightweight claddings.

At present OSM operates over 2 shifts to service the pipeline of secured work.

Due to our continued plan for growth CCG OSM have an opening for a highly motivated Supervisor within our Loading area, team of 2, to work in our production area on a constant back shift within our busy factory environment. The successful candidate will have experience of supervising their team in a production environment. It is key that you have good communication skills and understand the importance of developing your team to meet their requirements and ensuring the highest standards of health & safety and quality are met, whilst achieving customer service levels and production targets.

Skills

· Provide others with clear direction, setting the appropriate standards of behaviour, which motivates and empowers others to achieve results.

· Identify and organise resource needed to accomplish tasks on shift.

· Provide colleagues with development opportunities and ensure a coaching style is adopted when dealing with your team.

· Review, assess and positively manage absence levels within the team.

· Recruit, induct, train and develop the team by providing the vision, direction and support to enable them to deliver their objectives and optimise and develop their performance.

· Role model and implement Safety through behaviours.

· Responsible for production out turns daily along with ensuring materials are available at requested times by liaising with relevant departments.

· Ensure best practices are shared and replicated with other lines and colleagues to improve production performance, quality, safety and environment.

· High standard of timekeeping and attendance.

Salary

Supervisor salary of £13.67 to £15.50 D.O.E.

There is also an opportunity to earn incentive for achieving target on a weekly basis that is paid annually

Hours

Back shift 14.00 to 22.00 Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute break each day excluding Friday and Friday 14.00 to 18.00 = 34 hours per week, plus a 10.5% shift allowance on back shift.
