CNC Machinist
As a CNC Machinist, you will manufacture high‑precision components using advanced milling techniques, ensuring customer satisfaction, productivity targets, and on‑time delivery are consistently met. You will also contribute to work planning and support Manufacturing Leads in achieving wider team objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, program, and operate 5‑axis milling machines to produce complex, high‑accuracy components.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure precise and compliant output.
* Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
* Inspect finished components to verify they meet required quality standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to reduce downtime.
* Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to improve processes and workflows.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in line with company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in CNC machining, specifically 5‑axis milling, gained through time‑served engineering experience or relevant technical qualifications.
* Background in producing precision components to high quality standards.
* Proficiency in CNC programming, machine setup, and operation.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Knowledge of machine care, maintenance, and safe operation.
* Demonstrable manual dexterity and confident use of hand tools.
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and 5S (desirable).
* Experience with setting, operating, and editing programs on specific machinery (highly desirable).
