This is a rare opportunity to join one of Scotland’s most established and respected independent HGV maintenance organisations. Their operation includes a modern fleet of over 160 vehicles, 500+ trailers and tankers, supported by continuous investment in facilities, tooling, and staff development. Due to sustained growth and continued success, they are now expanding their engineering team and seeking a skilled HGV Welder / Fabricator to join their Glasgow depot.

This is a hands‑on, workshop‑based role focused on high‑quality fabrication and structural welding within a commercial vehicle maintenance and refurbishment environment.

• Welding and fabrication of commercial vehicle bodies and chassis
• Structural repair and refurbishment work
• Fabrication of steel components for trucks, trailers, and tankers
• Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate builds
• Ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship

• Proven experience in medium to heavy steel fabrication and welding (2mm – 10mm)
• Ability to build, tack, and fully weld fabrications from drawings
• Strong fault‑finding ability with attention to detail in fabricated structures
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience working on trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles
