Key Responsibilities of the CNC Miller:
- Reading engineering drawings, blueprints and process sheets
- Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC milling equipment
- Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze
- Downloading programs from DNC systems and editing/writing CNC programs where needed
- Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup time and boost throughput
- Performing precision inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Completing finishing tasks including polishing, filing, blending and assembling components
- Preparing finished parts for shipment (cleaning, oiling, wrapping, boxing)

What You'll Bring:
- Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years' CNC machining experience in a lean manufacturing environment
- Strong milling experience on multi-axis machines or experience with rotary table grinders, CNC table grinders, or 5-axis CNC grinders
- Ability to work with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain or Haas
- Confidence holding ultra-tight tolerances (
- Skilled with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
- Background in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar industries (ideal)
