Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:15 – 16:30
  • Every second Friday: 07:15 – 13:15
  • Day shift only

£30,000 – £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Flatbed Die Cutter Operator with a strong background in print and packaging, ideally within corrugated board production. The successful candidate will be skilled in setting up, operating and maintaining flatbed die cutting machinery—preferably with hands‑on experience of Bobst equipment.

This role involves producing high‑quality die‑cut packaging components while meeting productivity targets and maintaining excellent quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate flatbed die cutting machinery for corrugated packaging production.
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and cutting formes to achieve specification accuracy.
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure output meets customer and internal standards.
  • Identify machine faults, perform basic troubleshooting and bring maintenance issues to attention when required.
  • Work closely with production, design and quality teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure safe working practices are always followed.
  • Maintain clean and organised working areas in compliance with health & safety guidelines.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, job sheets and quality records.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience operating flatbed die cutting machines in a print & packaging (corrugated) environment.
  • Experience with Bobst flatbed die cutting machinery is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good understanding of quality control processes within packaging production.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and technical drawings.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a production team.
