Production Operative – Brushmaking – Key Role Information

We are looking for a Production Operative to join our skilled Brushmaking team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a long-established manufacturer, working with advanced machinery to produce a wide range of commercial, natural, and hygiene brushes.

You will play a key role in ensuring our products continue to meet the high standards our customers expect. While previous experience in operating machinery would be an advantage, it is not essential – we are happy to provide full training to candidates who are enthusiastic and eager to learn.

• Starting salary: £25,776 per annum
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:45pm (early finish Friday at 3:45pm)
• Working week: 39 hours (with a 45‑minute unpaid break each day)

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently following set-up
• Load raw materials into the machine as required
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet manufacturing tolerances and specification
• Pack finished products where needed
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation
• Report any machine breakdowns, stoppages, or quality issues to your supervisor/manager
• Accurately record machine activity and production output using computer‑controlled systems
• Work consistently towards production and efficiency targets

• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Positive, respectful, and team‑focused approach
• Well organised, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively

• Competitive salary: £25,000–£30,000 per annum depending on experience

  Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:45pm, Fridays 8:00am – 3:45pm (39 hours a week)
