Hours of Work

Monday - Friday (varied 8 hour shift patterns between 6.00am and 8.00pm) with 1 weekend out of 4 on call with a shift allowance of £60.00)

Pay

£13.45 per hour

Job Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning walls, floors, ceilings, emptying litter bins, and maintaining equipment to ensure consistently high audit standards.
Duties
  • Produce GDP compliant reports and documentation.
  • Cleaning in the GMP (sterile environment).
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by following relevant SOPs.
  • Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs.
  • Regularly check the equipment and machines used; report faults/defects to GMP Cleaning Supervisor.
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Policy; report any hazards to GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders.
  • Attend training sessions pertaining to the post.
  • Carry out duties as required by the GMP Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leaders.
  • Liaise daily with the cleaning team, other staff, and customers.
  • Adhere to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures; training will be provided.
Essential Qualifications
  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Full UK/EU manual driving licence.
  • Good level of written and spoken English.
  • General good health.
  • Reasonable fitness to remain standing most of the day.
  • Prepared to wear full uniform including PPE as directed by Line Manager.
  • Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP.
  • Good IT literacy - Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible to support other shift patterns when required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with in a similar industry.
  • Team worker with a flexible approach.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • Understanding of GMP and quality systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Machinery skills.
