General Summary

As a key member of the Materials Management team, the Aftermarket (AM) Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising the master production schedule for Aftermarket products within the Cathcart manufacturing facility. This role ensures that the schedule reflects customer requirements, material availability, and operational capacity. The AM Master Scheduler acts as a central coordination point between Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Project Management—balancing capacity, materials, and delivery commitments to achieve world‑class on‑time delivery performance.

The role also monitors order progression, identifies risks, and adjusts the schedule proactively to support delivery promises.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain an accurate master production schedule aligned with customer orders and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Operations, and Quality to ensure execution of the schedule.
  • Prepare and present regular scheduling and capacity reports, including solution options and recommend corrective actions.
  • Utilise SAP to monitor performance, track deviations, and drive schedule integrity.
  • Analyse demand forecasts, production capacity, routings, and inventory levels to optimise sequencing and resource utilisation.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling constraints or conflicts, proposing innovative solutions to protect delivery commitments.
  • Maintain and continuously improve SAP master data accuracy, including BOM, routing, lead time, and planning parameters.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in production scheduling or planning in a project‑based or engineered‑to‑order manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing, managing, and executing production schedules.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel modelling skills.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, capacity planning, and shop‑floor control.
  • ASCM (formerly APICS) certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working in complex, high‑mix, low‑volume environments such as aerospace, defence, industrial equipment, or custom machinery is preferred.

Physical Demands
