Duties & Responsibilities:
Manufacturing weather seals in a safe manner. Responsible for the replacement of raw materials to ensure continuous production. Carrying out quality control checks on profiles. Working in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF, Quality Standards, Throughput and Productivity). Working as part of the team on agreed objectives with Section Leader and Production Manager.
Actively promote 'Best and safe Practice' in all areas. Supporting Section Leader in achieving objectives. Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book. 5s Projects. Ensure production KPI targets are understood & achieved. Maintain high standard of housekeeping & H&S standards in dept & factory. Utilize equipment, plant, and materials in most effective manner.
Prioritise work through production process. Identify waste & eradicate from process. Identify & remove re occurring quality/process issues in process. Identify & remove re occurring quality/process issues in the process by means of Lean activities. Any other duties deemed necessary by section leader. Extrusion Operatives Applicants:
Ability to communicate at all levels Team player Ability to impart knowledge to aid development Able to lift up to 20kg Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team Good dexterity and experience working with hand, air, and power tools Helpful Excellent time keeping & attendance Self-motivated Customer orientated whilst understanding the company needs Practical and theoretical Professional Skills Exposure to manufacturing environment Lean Tools / Techniques SAP experience Good with modern technology (computers) Personal Skills Good communication & interpersonal skills Creative problem-solving techniques Setting experience Any engineering backgrounds

First couple of weeks will be spent completing the relevant training/induction, during this period candidates will be working a day shift of 8am to 4pm.
