. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components to demanding industries.
We're looking for a skilled CNC Miller who takes pride in producing high-quality work, enjoys working in a modern machining environment, and is keen to be part of a business that continues to invest in its people and facilities.
The RoleWorking as part of an experienced machine shop team, you'll be responsible for producing precision-machined components to exact specifications while maintaining high quality standards and efficient production rates.
This is primarily a Monday to Friday dayshift position
, with flexible 4-day or 5-day working patterns available by agreement. There may also be some rotational night shift working when required.
- Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
- Produce components right first time from engineering drawings.
- Work to required production cycle times while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Continuously look for ways to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Work closely with colleagues across production to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
- Time-served or experienced CNC Miller.
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls
. - Experience working on vertical, horizontal and 5-axis CNC milling machines
. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A positive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of SPC and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Good computer skills.
- £18.50 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Premium overtime rates.
