Production Operator - Deburr

Responsible for the finishing and preparation of metal components by removing burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections using a variety of hand and power tools. To ensure parts meet quality standards and customer specifications prior to final assembly or shipping.

Reporting To:
Deburr Team Lead

Working pattern:
Standard working hours, Monday to Friday, Early and back shift, 37 hours per week

Glasgow

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, and other surface defects.
  • Operate deburring tools such as hand files, sanders, grinders and rotary tools.
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure precise finishes.
  • Use microscopes or magnifiers for detailed deburring work when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area and equipment.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Educated to standard grade level.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be health & safety conscious.
  • Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable).
  • Deburring experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Rate: £15.24 per hour

Schedule
  • Early shift Mon to Thurs, 6am-2.30pm & Friday, 6am-11am / Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 37 hours per week
