Area Manager, Manufacturing ​/ Production Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead and develop a high‑performing production team within a busy food manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will take full responsibility for your area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost‑effective delivery of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will manage Team Leaders and Operatives, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

• Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and production teams to achieve business objectives.
• Deliver production plans safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimise costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, health & safety, and operational standards.
• Analyse performance data and KPIs, taking corrective action to improve operational performance.

• Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
• Experience managing large teams through Team Leaders or Supervisors.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and operational compliance.
• Track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity and efficiency.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• HACCP, Food Safety, or Lean Manufacturing qualifications.
• Knowledge of BRC standards.
• Experience with in automated production environments.
