Position:
Technical Project Coordinator (NPI Technologist)

Location:

Glasgow Head Office Job Type: Full time, 39.5 hours per week, permanent Days:
Monday to Friday Salary: £27,626.30 per annum Benefits: 28 days annual leave increasing with length of service, plus 4 public holidays, medical cash back scheme, life insurance, private pension, staff discounts and more!

Job Purpose:

The Technical Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all the processes of bringing new products including coffee, cakes, syrups and coffee machines to market and performance post-launch reviews. The role-holder will keep all relevant stakeholders informed of updates and results, making sure products are successfully launched on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

NPI process and platform supervision
  • Responsible for the planning, organising and overseeing of the NPI process and projects ensuring all the requirements including supplier approval, specification approval, costings, ERP set up for a successful launch are completed on time
  • Supervise several projects at once
  • Manage the introduction of new products / machines from project initiation to launch by ensuring task allocation and completion is carried out against the company Stage Gate process
  • Chairing progress meetings, producing minutes and action points
  • Propose improvements to the current new product innovation process
  • Manage the process for product specification changes.
  • Maintain information required to achieve sustainability regulation compliance
NPI Technical Support and Training
  • Supporting relevant stakeholders in completion of tasks
  • Participate in 3rd party certification audits
  • Support QA department with Internal Audits
Person Specification Education / Qualifications / Training:
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject, or experience commensurate with this level
Experience:

Essential
  • Project management
  • Stage gate process experience
  • Engaging with multiple stakeholders both internal and external
  • Working to strict deadlines
  • Work on own initiative
Desirable
  • Food Safety & Food Hygiene training
  • Understanding of food safety, legality compliance
  • Experience of interpreting specifications

  • Proven ability to supervise multiple projects
