Manufacturing Technician Test

Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

We’re looking for a number of Test Technicians to join our Naval Manufacturing team. Our Test Technicians carry out in depth testing and fault diagnoses of complex electro-optical units , PECs and sub-assemblies.

The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen

What you’ll do…
  • Test and repair various electronic systems and sub-assemblies to component level.

  • Diagnose faults and contribute to material review boards (MRBs) and root cause analysis.

  • Perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.

  • Adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks

  • Adhere to company Health and Safety processes at all times

  • Ensure any incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.

  • Input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry

  • Manage and record build configuration of product

What you’ll need…
  • Experience working in a production test department

  • An HNC in electrical/electronic engineering would be advantageous.

  • Ability to interpret circuit diagrams / schematics and identify faults to component level

  • Ability to Identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision

  • PC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool set

  • Able to secure SC clearance with no restrictions
