Job Description & How to Apply Below

Great manufacturing businesses don't simply create exceptional products - they build the processes, systems, and technical foundations that turn innovative designs into high-quality, reliable solutions. By combining engineering expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, they ensure products can be manufactured safely, efficiently, and consistently to meet customer expectations.

As our BioPRO Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play an important role in translating engineering designs and product requirements into accurate production documentation and manufacturing-ready CAD data. Working closely with the Senior Engineer and wider Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you'll develop detailed drawings, Bills of Materials, manufacturing layouts, cutting patterns, and work instructions that bring designs to life on the production floor. With a strong focus on accuracy, practical problem-solving, document control, and manufacturability, you'll help ensure our BioPRO products can be manufactured efficiently, repeatedly, and to the high standards our customers expect.

In

this role you will:
  • Create and maintain accurate production drawings, 2D and 3D CAD models, and manufacturing documentation from approved engineering designs and specifications.
  • Develop complete manufacturing packages for foam products and assemblies, including Bills of Materials, manufacturing layouts, cutting patterns, and assembly drawings.
  • Produce clear, practical work instructions that translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Support prototype builds and new product introduction, working with the Senior Engineer and wider teams to resolve production queries and manufacturing challenges.
  • Implement approved engineering changes promptly, maintaining accurate drawings, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and controlled revisions.
  • Identify and deliver continuous-improvement opportunities to enhance manufacturability, production efficiency, product quality, and process consistency.
  • Maintain high standards of document control, revision management, and configuration control, ensuring manufacturing teams have access to accurate, up-to-date information.

You're someone who takes pride in getting the details right. You understand that successful manufacturing starts with clear engineering documentation, accurate drawings, and practical solutions that work on the production floor. You're methodical, organised, and proactive, with the technical capability to turn engineering requirements into manufacturing-ready outputs. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively across teams, and finding better ways to do things, ensuring quality and consistency are built into every stage of the process.

You

will:
  • Have practical CAD experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements accurately.
  • Demonstrate strong technical drawing and CAD-modelling skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
  • Have experience creating production drawings, manufacturing documentation, and clear work instructions within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Take a methodical approach to manufacturing process development, document control, revision management, and configuration control.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using Fusion 360, CATIA, or comparable 2D and 3D CAD systems being desirable.
  • Apply practical problem-solving skills, strong planning, and organisational abilities to develop workable solutions and deliver accurate documentation within agreed timescales.
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and supporting teams to support product introduction and continuous improvement.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and willing to travel when required to support individual projects and business needs.
The impact you will have

As our BioPRO Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a vital role in connecting engineering design with successful manufacturing. Through accurate CAD modelling, detailed production drawings, comprehensive manufacturing packages, and clear work instructions, you'll help ensure our BioPRO products can be produced efficiently, consistently, and to the required quality standards.

Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to effective document control will help reduce production queries, support smooth product introduction, and…
