About Us

SPACE Student Accommodation and East Sands Student Accommodation provide high-quality, purpose-built homes for students in two of Scotland's most vibrant university communities:
St Andrews and Aberdeen. We believe student accommodation should be more than a room — it should be a place where students feel at home, build friendships, and get the most out of their university experience.

We're now looking for a talented Brand and Campaigns Manager to take ownership of our brands and drive the marketing campaigns that fill our buildings and bring our communities to life.

The Role

As Brand and Campaigns Manager, you'll be the guardian of the SPACE and East Sands brands and the driving force behind our marketing activity. Working closely with our property, sales and central marketing team, you'll plan and deliver creative, insight-led campaigns across the full student lettings cycle — from early-bird rebooking pushes through to summer clearing and international student recruitment.

This is a genuinely hands‑on role in a small, ambitious team, where you'll shape strategy one day and roll your sleeves up on content the next.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the annual marketing and campaigns plan for SPACE (St Andrews and Aberdeen) and East Sands, aligned to occupancy and revenue targets
  • Own and evolve our brand identities, ensuring consistency in tone of voice, visual identity, and customer experience across every touchpoint
  • Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel campaigns spanning digital advertising, social media, email, on‑site events, university partnerships, and print
  • Manage our websites, listings on student accommodation portals, and paid media activity, using data and analytics to continually improve performance and return on spend
  • Create and commission engaging content — photography, video, copy, and social — that authentically reflects life in our properties
  • Build strong relationships with the Universities of St Andrews and Aberdeen, students' associations, local businesses, and letting agents
  • Support resident engagement and events programmes that build community, drive rebooker rates, and generate word‑of‑mouth advocacy
  • Report on campaign performance to senior leadership
  • Conduct market and competitor research to keep our pricing, positioning, and propositions sharp in both cities
About You Essential
  • Proven experience in a brand, campaigns, or marketing management role, ideally within student accommodation, property, hospitality, higher education, or another consumer-facing sector
  • A track record of planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that hit commercial targets
  • Strong digital marketing skills, including paid social, email marketing, SEO/PPC, and analytics
  • Excellent copywriting ability and a sharp eye for brand and design
  • Confident managing budgets, agencies, and multiple projects at once
  • A self-starter comfortable working autonomously in a hybrid/remote setup, with the flexibility to travel regularly to St Andrews and Aberdeen
  • Full UK driving licence desirable (though our properties are accessible by public transport)
Desirable
  • Experience marketing to student and international student audiences
  • Familiarity with the Scottish PBSA (purpose-built student accommodation) market
  • Working knowledge of CRM and property management/lettings systems
  • Photography, videography, or design skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working: based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, or remote/hybrid
  • All travel expenses covered for property visits (St Andrews fortnightly; Aberdeen every few weeks)
  • Pension scheme
  • Genuine ownership of the marketing function, with the autonomy to make your mark
  • A friendly, supportive team and the chance to shape the student experience in two fantastic Scottish cities
