The role:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is delighted to offer an opportunity for a Community Staff Nurse to join our District Nursing teams within Primary Care Services. This is a rewarding role where you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in their own homes and community settings. You will work both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, caring for individuals with complex and long‑term needs.

You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
  • Based at Possilpark Health & Care Centre
  • Part‑time, permanent
  • Working between Monday and Sunday, fully flexible

Salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assess plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with patients, families and carers
  • Deliver skilled nursing interventions to patients with complex and long‑term conditions in the community
  • Manage and prioritise own workload effectively to respond to planned and unplanned care needs
  • Maintain accurate up‑to‑date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
  • Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for junior staff and students
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multi‑agency colleagues to coordinate care and support discharge planning
  • Promote patient safety and well‑being through effective risk assessment, incident reporting, and adherence to policies
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Relevant post‑registration experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously within a community setting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Experience of delivering person‑centred care to patients with complex needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with a flexible and problem‑solving approach
