We’re pleased to announce a permanent, full‑time opportunity for a registered adult nurse to join AXA Health in Glasgow. If you have experience in cancer care and are looking for a role with variety and growth, this could be the ideal position. In this role, you’ll use your acute clinical expertise and case‑management skills to provide exceptional support to our members and their families during cancer treatment, working closely with clinicians and hospitals to ensure the highest standards of care.
This is a Nurse Case Manager – Cancer Care position offering a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference.
- Effectively manage claims and act as a clinical expert providing members with specialist knowledge and assistance.
- Ensure members are aware of the treatment options within their cover and keep them informed of the progress of their claims.
- Provide telephone support during a difficult time to members and their families.
- Show interest in the team, department and the wider business targets and contribute to achieving them.
- Understand and role model claims cost‑management principles and identify potential areas of leakage.
- Develop in‑depth knowledge, expertise and proficiency.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Working Hours & Shift PatternYou’ll work full time, 37.5 hours per week, 8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Your Skills & Experience- Registered Adult Nurse (RN).
- Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in nursing.
- Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Substantive post‑registration acute clinical experience.
- Ideally, cancer nursing experience.
- High levels of judgement, decision making and ownership.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage difficult conversations.
- Sound relationship‑management capabilities.
As a precondition of employment, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This role is an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role; in addition to pre‑employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every four years with an annual declaration in interim years. You will also be screened through an enhanced DBS check.
