NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a dedicated Senior Charge Nurse to provide clinical and professional leadership within our Rehabilitation and Assessment services. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a multidisciplinary nursing team while ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person‑centred care.

• Full‑time, permanent
• You will be based at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
• Working Pattern: 4 days over 7

• Provide visible clinical leadership and operational management within the ward or department
• Lead, support and develop nursing and support staff to deliver high‑quality patient‑centred care
• Ensure safe, effective and evidence‑based clinical practice is maintained and continuously improved
• Manage staffing resources, workforce planning, recruitment and performance management activities
• Monitor and drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and patient safety standards
• Promote effective multidisciplinary working to support seamless patient journeys and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, health and safety and organisational policies and procedures

• First level Nursing or Midwifery qualification with current NMC registration relevant to the clinical area
• Degree level qualification or evidence of continuing professional development equivalent to SCQF Level 9
• Significant post‑registration experience within a relevant clinical specialty with evidence of expert practice
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing, motivating and developing teams
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and person‑centred care
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
• Good computer and information technology skills with the ability to effectively manage clinical and workforce information systems
