Charge Nurse - Specialist Mental Health - Community Mental Health Team

As a Band 6 Specialist Mental Health Nurse within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, person‑centred care within a Community Mental Health Team. Working as part of a skilled multi‑disciplinary team, you will support individuals with complex mental health needs through assessment, care planning and recovery‑focused interventions. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

• Woodlands Mental Health Resource Centre
• Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with complex mental health needs including risk assessment and care planning
• Act as Named Nurse or keyworker managing a defined caseload and coordinating care effectively
• Deliver and evaluate person‑centred, recovery‑focused interventions in community settings
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and carers promoting dignity, respect and inclusion
• Administer and monitor treatments and medications in line with policy and best practice
• Provide supervision, support and leadership to junior staff and students within the team
• Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure holistic and integrated care delivery

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration at RNMH or RN3 level
• Demonstrable experience working within mental health services supporting complex patient needs
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning
• Strong assessment, care coordination and clinical decision‑making skills
• Experience or knowledge of evidence‑based psychological therapies or interventions
• Proven leadership ability including supervision and delegation of tasks
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to work autonomously
