We are seeking to recruit an individual who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care and takes pride in what they do. You will be expected to work effectively within a busy and often high-pressure environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing and challenging situations.
Ward 46 is a 20-bedded unit comprising a combination of short-stay medical beds and head injury beds. The ward cares for a diverse patient group and offers an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop skills across a broad range of medical nursing specialties while also gaining experience in the acute management of patients with head injuries.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Location: Glasgow Royal Infirmary G4 OSF
- Hours and Work Pattern: Rotational 7 day a week working / days/nights
You will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to a varied patient population within Ward 46. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
The role involves caring for both acute medical and head injury patients, ensuring safe and effective care throughout their hospital stay. You will be expected to maintain high professional standards, communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues, and contribute to a positive ward environment that supports continuous improvement and excellent patient outcomes.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:- Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration.
- Relevant post-registration experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience working within an acute healthcare setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to challenging situations.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
