Staff Nurse - Dermatology Clinic

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse to join our Dermatology Outpatient Clinic team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient-centred care, work alongside experienced multidisciplinary colleagues and support patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions.

• Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Stobhill campus.
• This is a permanent, part-time post of 26.67 hour per week.
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours

• Assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care
• Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care to patients attending the Dermatology Clinic
• Support the day-to-day operational running of the clinic and contribute to a high-quality patient experience
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
• Supervise, support and mentor students and junior colleagues within the clinical environment
• Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement activities and the implementation of best practice initiatives
• Contribute to maintaining a safe clinical environment through effective risk management, infection prevention and accurate record keeping

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Demonstrable clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the delivery of high-quality patient care
• Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning
• Ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care within a busy clinical environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Previous dermatology experience would be advantageous but is not essential
