Staff Nurse - Pre-Op Assessment (Bank) Glasgow Hospital

Pre-Op Assessment | Bank | Ad-hoc| Includes Evening & Weekend Work Up to £25 per hour, depending on experience Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you'll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Pre Operative Assessing patients undergoing a variety of operations.
  • We require you to have a good knowledge of history taking , understand the variety of procedures performed , health assessment and promotion and treat the patient in a holistic manner that incorporates a thorough assessment of the patients health condition , social circumstances and post operative recovery .
  • Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service
  • As the first point of contact you will work with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
  • Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
  • Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
  • Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
