Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Neonatal Staff Nurse with Plan B Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to newborn infants requiring specialist neonatal support. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate neonatal nursing care.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate the condition of newborn babies within neonatal settings.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Support infants requiring specialised care and ongoing monitoring.
- Recognise and elevate any clinical concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with parents, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Promote the highest standards of patient safety, dignity, and family-centred care.
Job Requirements
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid NMC Registered Nurse status.
- Relevant and recent Neonatal nursing experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid and up-to-date compliance documentation.
- Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
In addition to the necessary job requirements, the following skills are desirable:
- Experience working within busy Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) or Special Care Baby Units (SCBU).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure environments.
- A compassionate and family-centred approach to neonatal care.
- Being punctual, dependable, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Up to 6 shifts per week available.
