This small practice in Glasgow is looking to welcome a Registered Veterinary Nurse to its friendly and supportive team. The practice offers a positive working environment where nurses are encouraged to use and develop their clinical skills, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, making this an opportunity that can be tailored around individual circumstances.

The practice has been an RCVS PSS-accredited practice for the past 14 years and is also an established RVN training practice and Silver Cat Friendly Clinic. The team is currently working towards achieving the Silver Investors in the Environment award, reflecting its continued commitment to high standards of patient care and responsible practice.

The practice is well equipped to support a varied first-opinion caseload, with an extensive range of in-house diagnostic and clinical equipment. This includes a Pro Cyte, Catalyst One, InVue Dx and Sedi Vue Dx laboratory, alongside ultrasound, digital radiography, a dedicated dental X-ray unit, tonometer, patient warmer, fluid pumps and syringe driver.

The nursing team is given the opportunity to play a meaningful role in patient care and make full use of their professional skills. The Head Nurse is a Clinical Coach and currently supports the practice's SVN through their training, while ongoing development is actively encouraged through a generous CPD allowance. Anaesthesia is one of the team's particular strengths, and the practice is keen to continue building on this area of expertise.

The successful RVN will join an established team consisting of three full-time vets, three full-time RVNs, an SVN, Practice Manager and three receptionists. The staffing structure allows the nurses to have proper breaks and provides protected time within the diary for essential administration and clinical tasks. The varied caseload also offers plenty of opportunities to broaden clinical experience, with a visiting Orthopaedic Specialist adding further scope for learning and development.

The role offers a salary of up to £33,500 depending on experience, with both full-time and part-time hours available. The rota includes one full Saturday every three weeks, with no Sunday work and no out-of-hours requirements.
