Health Visitor - Children’s Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking for a compassionate and motivated Health Visitor to join our Children and Families Team. In this rewarding role, you will work autonomously and collaboratively to support children from birth to school entry, promoting health, wellbeing and positive life outcomes.

You will build trusted relationships with families, provide expert public health nursing advice and play a key role in safeguarding and early intervention. • You will be based at Pollok Health Centre
• Working Pattern:
  Thursday and Friday

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

• Act as the named Health Visitor for children within your caseload from birth to school entry
• Assess, monitor and promote the health, wellbeing and development of children and families
• Develop, implement and review child plans in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals
• Deliver the Universal Health Visiting Pathway and undertake developmental and wellbeing assessments
• Identify risks and concerns relating to child wellbeing and take appropriate safeguarding or child protection action
• Provide expert health promotion, parenting support and public health advice to families
• Work collaboratively with health, social care, education and third-sector partners to achieve positive outcomes for children

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with a post-registration qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing
