This is a full-time, permanent role , working Monday to Friday , where you’ll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance and supporting the smooth running of QHSE activities across multiple sites. Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £28,000 , per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) . Your benefits package includes a company-sponsored pension scheme , life assurance , and access to our benefits platform , including retail discounts. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Support the delivery of health, safety and environmental standards across site, ensuring all processes align with legal requirements, company policies and best practice Maintain and manage QHSE documentation, including risk assessments, audits, policies and compliance records, ensuring all information remains accurate, up to date and audit-ready Monitor incident, accident and compliance data, supporting investigations, tracking actions and driving follow-up activities to reduce risk and improve safety performance Coordinate audits, inspections and planned preventative maintenance activities, working with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely completion and compliance Act as a central point of coordination for safety-related queries, systems administration and training records, ensuring effective communication and consistency across the operation What you need to succeed at GXO:
Previous experience in a health & safety, compliance or administrative role within a fast-paced operational environment Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage data, prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using systems and databases Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) and a proactive, detail-focused approach to improving safety standards We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
