Job Role: As the Quality Manager
, you will lead, maintain and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring quality standards are effectively implemented across site operations. The Quality Manager will manage the quality team, oversee inspection and quality control activities, maintain audit readiness and provide practical quality support across the business. Key responsibilities will include managing internal and external audit preparation, monitoring quality performance and KPIs, overseeing non-conformance processes, leading root cause investigations and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
The Quality Manager will also manage customer complaints, support supplier quality performance and promote a positive culture of continual improvement.
Essential Skills, Experience, or
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management System requirements relevant to a Quality Manager
- Experience managing internal audits, external audit preparation, supplier audits, NCRs, customer complaints and corrective action processes
- Previous experience managing or supervising Quality Inspectors, Quality Technicians or operational quality teams
- Strong understanding of quality inspection, product conformity, process control, traceability and documentation requirements
- Ability to conduct detailed investigations and apply root cause analysis techniques
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operational teams, senior management, suppliers, customers and external auditors - Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, audit schedules, investigation actions and reporting deadlines
- Practical, hands‑on approach to supporting site operations while maintaining Quality Management System compliance
- Engineering qualification such as an NVQ, City & Guilds or HNC
- Quality engineering qualification such as an NVQ, City & Guilds or HNC
- Previous experience operating at Quality Manager level within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be highly relevant to the position
