Quality Manager

The Quality Manager role will be accountable for the management of the Quality function comprising of a multi- disciplined team of Quality professionals delivering best practice, standards, policies, training and systems throughout the 8 locations across the UK.

The role will also be a part of the Global Quality Core team, contributing to and shaping the Global SQS strategies and initiatives enabling the delivery of leading edge industry best practices across all of our Bacardi Sites.

• 5-7 years of leadership experience in Quality function within a Global FMCG Operation
• Outstanding communicator at all levels ideally within Global Matrix Organization
• Demonstrated success implementing and leading organizational change.
• Leadership experience in deployment of advanced Quality strategies
• Qualifications Degree qualified in Business/Operations or Engineering.

• Develop and execute the Quality strategy and annual plans in alignment with Bacardi business objectives and Global Quality/SQS strategy.
• Lead, develop and coach the Quality team, building technical capability, ownership and a strong Quality culture.
• Maintain, strengthen and continuously improve the Quality Management System across UK Operations.
• Ensure effective implementation and compliance with applicable Bacardi standards, legal requirements and recognised international standards, including ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 where applicable.
• Lead Quality Continuous Improvement programmes using structured problem-solving, Lean/Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
• Drive reduction of defects, complaints, non-conformances, waste and process variation, with a strong focus on prevention and sustainable corrective action.
• Own and improve Quality KPIs, dashboards, trend analysis and management reporting, ensuring actions are clearly defined and followed through.
• Provide leadership for supplier quality, including supplier performance monitoring, risk assessment, escalation, corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Ensure robust control of incoming materials, packaging, production processes, finished products and release activities.
• Lead investigations into significant Quality incidents, customer/consumer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring effective root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Ensure HACCP and food safety principles are effectively embedded where relevant to operations, products and processes.
• Lead preparation for and management of internal, external, customer and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Maintain strong change-control and risk-management processes for products, processes, equipment, suppliers and specifications.
• Support New Product Development and innovation by providing Quality input from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial and Global Quality teams to deliver integrated Quality solutions.
• Provide Quality leadership during major projects, commissioning, process changes, new suppliers and operational improvement initiatives.
• Represent Bacardi with relevant customers, suppliers, certification bodies, regulators and industry organisations when required.
• Promote a proactive Quality mindset where risks are identified and controlled before they become failures.

• Strong Quality leadership experience within FMCG, food, beverage, spirits or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading Quality teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and international standards.
• Practical experience with FSSC 22000 and/or ISO 9001 is highly desirable.
