About the Team

The Glasgow team provides agency and investment, business rates, compulsory purchase, lease consultancy, energy real estate and industrial advisory, and valuation services to investors, developers, landowners, occupiers, and public sector clients. While Glasgow-based, the team covers the whole of Scotland and the northern borders of England, working closely with colleagues across Newmark's UK national office network and global platform.

You’ll be joining a team that’s expanding, giving you broader exposure to live deals, faster opportunities to take on responsibility, and a real chance to help shape the office’s growth.

Programme Overview

Newmark's 2-year graduate real estate programme is the perfect way to kickstart your career in commercial real estate. You’ll gain hand‑on experience across multiple disciplined teams, work with senior professionals, and develop the skills and competencies needed to achieve your MRICS qualification through the 2-year cognate APC route.

Newmark also offer a 2.5-year graduate programme, designed for students to complete a RICS accredited MSc in Real Estate with University of the Built Environment (UBE). This route is perfect if your undergraduate degree is not RICS accredited, but you want to fast track your career in commercial real estate to achieve MRICS qualification.

Why Join Newmark?
  • Structured, mentored path to qualification
    - You’ll work towards your APC qualification with dedicated mentors, team rotations, and hand‑on learning experiences designed to build technical capability from day one.
  • Real responsibility, not just training
    - The programme is built around projects that challenge and inspire, with the autonomy to take initiative and the accountability to own your work - paired with regular 1:1 check‑ins so you’re never navigating it alone
  • Global platform, local grounding
    - Based in Glasgow, you’ll be part of Newmark’s national office network with on‑the‑ground knowledge of Scotland’s regional submarkets.
  • Growing Scottish presence
    - Newmark has been actively expanding its UK regional footprint, so joining now means growing with the office and the Newmark Early Careers cohort.
Who we’re looking for
  • Ambition and drive to excel, with a clear commitment to working towards RICS APC qualification
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, comfortable working with data, financial models, and market research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Commercial curiosity - an interest in the Glasgow and wider Scottish Real Estate market, and how local dynamics connect to the national and global picture
  • Initiative and accountability - the confidence to take ownership of tasks while knowing when to ask for guidance
  • Strong teamwork and relationship‑building skills, since much of the role involves collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders

  • Submit an online application including CV and answer a few short screening questions
  • MS Teams interview with one interviewer
