  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local, regional and national property markets.

  • Manage instructions from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring deadlines and client requirements are met.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, agents, solicitors, lenders, accountants and other stakeholders.

  • Assist with business development, including identifying opportunities, preparing fee proposals and attending client meetings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Support the training, development and supervision of graduate surveyors and other junior team members where required.

  • Maintain accurate records of instructions, contacts, reports and other relevant information.

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with professional standards, company procedures, regulatory requirements and the RICS Valuation Global Standards.

  • Contribute to the wider objectives and continued development of the Valuation & Lease Advisory team.

Requirements
  • MRICS qualified, with a relevant degree or professional qualification in surveying, real estate or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, market analysis and relevant RICS standards.

  • Experience preparing Red Book-compliant valuation reports.

  • Ability to inspect and value a broad range of commercial property types.

  • Strong understanding of property markets across the North East and wider Northern England would be advantageous.

  • Excellent analytical, report-writing and numerical skills.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to deal directly with clients and professional contacts.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple instructions and meet strict deadlines.

  • Commercially aware, proactive and committed to delivering a high-quality client service.
