Our graduate programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards a professional qualification, all within the dynamic environment of JLL's Glasgow office. You'll join us on a 2‑to‑2.5‑year trainee programme, working towards Commercial / General Practice Chartered Surveyor status with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Our Glasgow office offers a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, ideal for your professional development.
Anyone with a degree can join this programme, irrespective of discipline, as we are focused on training you to becoming a qualified and well‑rounded professional. Our diverse Glasgow team welcomes graduates from various backgrounds. If you do not have an RICS accredited Real Estate degree, you will complete a fully funded online master's degree (MSc) in Real Estate with the University of the Built Environment as part of the graduate programme.
You will be fully supported by both JLL and the University throughout your academic journey. You'll rotate around the business with a focus on commercial and corporate properties, such as office spaces and retail stores. Possible rotations could include Valuation, Agency, Capital Markets, Property & Asset Management, Residential, Work Dynamics, and Consulting. your day‑to‑day will look like:
- You’ll research and keep up to date with relevant market insight and property legislation that may impact our work
- You’ll learn how to use various property systems/databases so we can collect information that will help us determining the best solution for clients
- You’ll build relationships across our business and clients to ensure we deliver a great service
- You’ll work with your team to draft and deliver work that may involve a variety of work, such as service charge budgets, presentations to clients, and valuation reports.
- You’ll visit properties to carry out inspections or conduct client viewings.
- You’ll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth
- Support from us – The Early Careers team will be with you every step of the way during your programme. Your manager and team will also be there to guide you day‑to‑day.
- Support from your buddy – You’ll be paired with a peer on a similar pathway to you who will be there to answer any questions and guide you.
- Training opportunities for everyone – No matter your experience or role, both our Early Careers and Learning teams will provide you with lots of ways to improve and develop your skills, from managing stakeholders and clients to report and pitch writing.
