Clinical Research Assistant – Bridge the Gap Between Science & Strategy
Are you a Clinical Research professional who feels boxed in by "standard" trial coordination? This is a unique opportunity to join a high-profile healthcare programme where you will do more than just manage data; you will help shape the research agenda.
Working directly with top-tier clinicians and academics, you will be the engine room of an innovative R&D programme. This role is perfect for a candidate with a strong scientific foundation who wants to gain experience in Science Communications, Strategic R&D, and Commercial Alignment.
- From the first draft of a protocol to the final peer-reviewed journal publication.
- You’ll work closely with a Senior Science Communications Manager to identify "horizon scanning" opportunities and new research trends.
- Act as the vital link between external CROs/Academics and internal PR, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
- Coordinating the day-to-day activity of multiple clinical studies, ensuring all milestones, ethical approvals, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Leading literature reviews, synthesising evidence, and taking a hands‑on role in manuscript writing and the journal submission process.
- Serving as the central point of contact for medical writers, statisticians, and external research sites.
- Assisting in the development of R&D roadmaps and tracking the clinical research budget to ensure commercial viability.
- BSc or MSc in Life Sciences or a related field.
- At least 2 years in a dedicated Clinical Research role.
- A clear understanding of ethical approval processes, governance, and data management (including working with statistical packages).
- Proven experience in manuscript writing and navigating the peer-review process is a major advantage.
- The ability to translate complex data for different audiences, from PhD academics to commercial marketing teams.
- A full UK Driver’s License is essential due to the site only being accessible via car. The role does offer hybrid working.
